Rihanna

Rhianna takes 3 million pound

Rihanna takes 3 million pound: Singer Rihanna  is facing a 3 million pound lawsuit from Brazilian concert promoters, who claim that they were duped into booking the 'Umbrella' singer for a concert. Officials at Unique Sports and Marketing have revealed that they signed a 1.1 million pound deal with a company called Vegas Style Entertainment (VSE) to book Rihanna for three Brazil gigs in November (10). They gave 550,000-pound advance to secure Rihanna for the concerts. But, VSE apparently has no connection with the singer and it only pocketed the money. The chiefs at Unique Sports and Marketing filed legal documents in New York and demanded 3,123,300 pound in compensation.

Rihanna Loves Her Lots Of Fans

Rihanna Loves Her Lots Of Fans: Rihanna stopped a restaurant manager trying to ban her fans from taking her photograph. The 'Rude Boy' singer was enjoying a meal out with friends in Ago, in West Hollywood when two teenage supporters reportedly asked if they could pose with her.

However, the manager reportedly rushed over and scorned: "Fans are not allowed to bother celebrities, so no pictures, please!" However, the 22-year-old beauty quickly interrupted the restaurant worker and told him to leave them alone. She said: "These girls are my fans and without them, I'd be nothing. So I'm happy to pose

Rihanna: Tall order

Rihanna: Tall order:  RIHANNA has revealed she felt dwarfed by her hunky co-star on her upcoming film, Battleship. The 5ft 8in singer - who joined Eminem at the VMAs to sing Love The Way You Lie - is in the middle of filming the action movie and admitted she was shocked by the stature of 6ft 4in True Blood heart- throb Alexander Skarsgrd. She said: "He's a really cool guy and that's to everybody, not just the cast. "He is super-tall. I didn't even know he was that tall.

2010 MTV VMAs: Eminem and Rihanna's Performance

Eminem warmed up the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards with his opening performance of "Not Afraid". The Slim Shady started spitting his verses from the backstage, which was arranged to look like a small stage before he came out to get more spotlights.

Just after he finished the last line from the chart topper, Rihanna appeared on the other side of the stage and brought another single from Eminem "Love the Way You Lie". The Barbadian singer, who donned a fairy-like dress, walked slowly to join the rapper on the center stage right when the song was about to end.

The performance was ended with a huge ovation from the audience. Shortly after completing the gig, Rihanna tweeted, "SURPRISE!!! ....just had to do it guys!" while Eminem left the building to perform with Jay-Z at Yankee Stadium in the Big Apple.

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards is currently taking place at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater. Eminem has grabbed a kudo for Best Male Video. Rihanna also has a chance to take home the moonman for she is nominated in Best Editing for her clip of "Rude Boy".

Hi everyone! I’m sure by now you’ve heard of Rihanna’s HOT, HOT, HOT single cover, but just in case you didn’t yet, here’s a trivia. Do you know that the artwork was shot in the Hamptons, NY last month?
Yep, it was, and I must say it looks really pretty.
You can scope out the artwork cover of Only Girl (In The World) here:

Rihanna: Hot in Hawaii

How well do red and green go together? If you’re Rihanna who can pull off anything, the combination would look smashing!

RiRi flaunted this bikini bod in Honolulu, Hawaii recently (thanks for the photos, Just Jared). She was with her BFF Melissa, and they were snapped kayaking and paddle surfing.

Rihanna Talks About Her Music, Album, and Perfume

RiRi’s really busy shooting her new movie Battleship. Even so, she found the time to keep us updated with what she’s up to. Here’s what she shared recently.
On her new single: “Expect ‘Only Girl’ to have a bigger sound than ‘Rude Boy’

Rihanna at the Grammy’s

Rihanna pulled all the stops at the 2010 Grammy Awards in an open back, high neck crepe gown with chiffon applique and feather and stone detailing at the bodice from Elie Saab. Jimmy Choo Lance sandals, Diamond in the Rough rings, and Neil Lane bracelet and earings completed the ensemble.

Rihanna. Grammys. Alone.

Don’t expect to see RiRi to hit the Grammys with a man on her arms - she’s going alone!
Says RiRi, “I’m going to the Grammys alone as always. Even when I was in a relationship, I always have gone alone.”

RiRi at the NRJ Awards

Rihanna looked stunning and dreamy at the NRJ Awards which was held at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes in France. She wore a Jean Paul Gaultier gown of gorgeous, gorgeous lace and finished the look with Nina Ricci shoes.

Rihanna: Cabo Cruisin’ With Matt

Have you heard that RiRi’s got a new beau? Meet Matt Kemp, L.A Dodgers outfielder and Rihanna’s new boyfie.
Our girl RiRi was spotted publicly kissing this baseball pro around Cabo San Lucas.
In case you don’t know Matt K. from Adam, he won the Golden Glove last year for his fielding and the Silver Slugger for his hitting. He’s 6-foot-2 and he is nicknamed “the Bison” in the baseball world.

Rihanna and Matt: Together in Mexico

So, just in case you somehow missed this development, Rihanna has a new boyfriend. Yep, you read that right. There’s a new boy in RiRi’s life and this one isn’t named Chris

RiRi in Pink Ruffled Bikini

‘Tis the season to be jolly. But for Rihanna, tis the season for a pink ruffled bikini! A healthier looking RiRi soaked in the sun in Barbados’ sunny beaches last Saturday. Not a bad way to prep for your New Year bash in Abu Dhabi, Ri! Not bad at all!
Thanks to Just Jared for the photos!
What do you think of RiRi’s suit? Hit or miss? Aye or nay? Share your thoughts!

Rihanna Does Some Yule Shopping!

Have you all done your Christmas shopping? Well, RiRi is certainly doing hers! She was snapped shopping in Beverly Hills, at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Recently, the 21-year-old songbird gave a short but sweet message to all her supporters: “To all my fans, thank you for being amazingly supportive and loyal this year… Happy Holidays to you and your families.”

Rihanna: Zebra-licious!

We’ve seen Rihanna do animal prints and she looks mighty fine in ‘em. Well, now, she slips into yet another FIERCE dress - this time, a very slinky zebra-printed dress with some sexy cut-outs!
RiRi wore this dress to the Rated R after-party, which was held at the M2 Untralounge. Click on “Read more” to check out her outfit! Thanks to Just Jared for these photos!

Rihanna: Those Leaked Photos Are Humilating!

RiRi is one of the most visible young stars out there. We’d be blind not to see her, since she’s such a style icon! Interestingly, for someone who’s out all the time, she’s a very private person. She rarely discusses her private life and doesn’t “accidentally” spill things about herself. Which is why it’s interesting… and refreshing that she’s now willing to open up and discuss the many things people wonder about.

Rihanna: A Vision in Spikes and Gold!

How does Rihanna look in gold? We’ve seen her do gold before and she looked heavenly. But what about spikes? How would Rihanna look in spikes? Now you will find out!
Rihanna wore golden spikes at the Rated R album release party at Juliet’s Supper Club.

Rihanna: Fashion Spotting

These past few days, we saw Rihanna open up about the assault and we saw how different people’s reactions were. Some cheered her on; others had misgivings, while there are those who say the interview changes nothing.
In case you missed it, I wrote about the interview here and here. You can see for yourself the differences in people’s opinions. There are those who say Rihanna did the right thing. There are also those who say she isn’t blameless and the interview is one-sided.

Rihanna Interview With Diane Sawyer

On Friday, November 6, Rihanna talked to Diane Sawyer’s Good Morning America about the night of her assault. RiRi spoke frankly. She talked about how frightened she felt, how even despite her own fears she wanted to protect Chris Brown.

Rihanna Finally Opens Up About the Assault!!!

Rihanna finally broke months of silence and spoke about her February assault to Dianne Sawyer of Good Morning America.
In the show, an emotional Rihanna shared to Dianne Sawyer exactly what she felt and thought about the assault. She also admitted that during that fateful night, Chris Brown twice held her in a headlock and bit her on the fingers and ears.  :(

RiRi Lookin’ Halloween Fierce!

Hi everyone! I hope you all had fun going to Halloween parties dressed to the nines in fierce outfits. Rihanna did! She went to the Halloween party in M2 Ultra Lounge dressed as a tiger - a very sexy tiger, at that. Read on to see the photo!

Rihanna’s Russian Roulette

Are you as eager to see Rihanna’s Russian Roulette music video as I am? Well, we won’t have to wait long. Rihanna’s much-awaited video will premiere this November 6.
A lot of people - fans and haters alike - are excited about the video because of the buzz that surrounds it.

Rihanna: Alexandra Wang-derful

There really isn’t much of an interesting story behind this outfit of Riri’s, but I’m posting it because I think it looks fierce.
Rihanna kept herself warm when she went to a music studio in the Chelsea side of New York City with a fur-like scarf. Yep, that’s a scarf on Riri’s neck, not a necklace or something equally funky like that. The 21-year-old songbird also carried with her the Alexander-Wang-bottom-studded “Coco” duffle.

Eyepatched RiRi Looking Really Pretty

I don’t know about you but I’ve always wondered how Rihanna would look with an eyepatch. I’m not sure why I wonder that. Perhaps it was seeing Angelina Jolie look hot even with an eyepatch.
Well now, my reasons for wondering about that aside, Rihanna did wear an eyepatch — on the set of the new music video she shot in New York City! The album is slated for release this November 23. And on that same day, RiRi will perform her newest single from the album on Good Morning America!

October

Rihanna: Cute in Chanel Muffs

It’s not every day we see our girl RiRi dress in lighter, happier colors. Well, I wouldn’t go as far as call blue and white happy - but it’s definitely refreshing to see Rihanna not dressed up in gray or black. But then again, RiRi looks good in anything so gray or black, white or blue, Rihanna can rock it!
Anyway, here’s what Rihanna wore to the Chanel ready-to-wear fashion show held during Paris Fashion Week (thanks to Just Jared for the photos!). She went to the show with BFF Melissa and her styling team Rob Zangardi and Mariael Haenn. Oh, and in case you’re wondering why she’s holding her handbag like that, she’s actually keeping her hands warm in her Chanel muffs.

RiRi in Gray Mini

We don’t know for a fact Rihanna can cook. Or, that she can cartwheel. But we do know there’s something Rihanna can do aside from sing. Like her or not, RiRi can dress — and dress she did at a Hussein Chalayan show held during Fashion Week in Paris.

Do you know Rihanna went to Fashion Week in Paris? Yes, she did. Below are some photos of Rihanna returning to her hotel along with her stylist Mariel Haenn. They had just been to John Galliano’s Dior Spring Summer 2010 Fashion Show, and of course RiRi looked smashing!

Rihanna’s Top - Sexy Or Slutty?

I’m not sure this is news to you, but it is to me. Do you know Rihanna has a nipple ring? Yes, she does! But, wait! How do I know that?

Rihanna Spotted at the Spotted Pig

Have you heard of the Spotted Pig? Nope, it’s not a real pig with spots. Rather, it’s a West Village restaurant in NYC. Earlier this week, RiRi was snapped dining with spotted—er, okay, highlighted—hair at the Spotted Pig. Read on for mighty fetching photos of our favorite Bajan babe!

Look Who Got Highlights!

Do you know our girl Rihanna hot new highlights? Well, she did, and here are some photos showing them off while she goes out and about New York City! Read on for pictures of RiRi wearing a pair of fun-patterned leggings, gray suede booties, and an oversized button-down white shirt. Oh, and how could I forget to mention this - sheer blach bustier!

Rihanna Photo Leak Now Solved! Cops Suspended!

Ever wondered how that notorious photo of a badly bruised and battered Rihanna ended up with the press? Some said it was a fake. Others said it was released by Rihanna’s camp to milk sympathy from appalled viewers. There were also those who said the photo was stolen from police files.
Well, finally, the mystery of the leak photo has been solved. How did the press get a’hold of the photo? It was leaked, that’s how. By who? This is where it gets interesting. As it turns out, it most likely was leaked by the cops!

Chris Brown: Of Course I Remember Beating Rihanna!

Chris Brown recently made headlines again over his assault of Rihanna. According to stories, Chris said he couldn’t remember assaulting his then girlfriend!
The statement generated a lot of controversy and anger, on the part of Rihanna’s fans - so much so that Chris’ camp released an official statement. Read on to check out what Chris said in the officially released statement.

Rihanna - One Hot Italian Vogue Cover Girl

Do you know Rihanna is on the cover of Italian Vogue’s Couture Supplement’s september issue? Okay, you probably already know that.
BUUUUUUT, do you know she sizzled in a slew of over-the-top, edgy ensembles? Most likely not!

M4A1

M4A1

In singleplayer, the M4A1 is first used in "Blackout".
During the campaign, the M4A1 is always equipped with a Tasco Red Dot Sight and the AN/PEQ-2A and the grenadier version of the M4A1 is equipped with the M203, Holographic Sight, & AN/PEQ-2A.
If the player uses the give all cheat in the mission "Ultimatum" (on the PC version), a M4A1 SOPMOD without the Red Dot Sight can be obtained.
The SAS uses the M4A1 SOPMOD in the missions "Blackout", "Safehouse", "Ultimatum", "All In", and "No Fighting In The War Room".
The Marines use the M4A1 Grenadier in "The Bog", "War Pig" (Level) , and "Shock & Awe".
Captain Price will always use the M4A1 with attachments in all SAS missions.

Multiplayer

In multiplayer, the M4A1 carbine appears as its regular model, the M4. It has an attached foregrip which is held by the player but does not take up an attachment slot. The M4A1 can be modified with a red dot sight, ACOG Scope, M203, or silencer. The M4A1 is an excellent weapon in the right hands, with moderate damage and fairly low recoil. However, the M4A1 has fast, large idle sway (4 degrees) making it more difficult to aim with at long range. This was done for balancing purposes, because the M4A1 was incredibly overpowered in the beta, in which it had no idle sway. The M4A1 shares ammo with the M16A4 and the G36C. The M4A1 Carbine is one of the most commonly used weapons in online multiplayer on all platforms.
As stated above, the M4A1 is not particularly effective at long range due to its sway on consoles. The M4A1 is ideal in close quarters combat due to its high rate of fire. Steady Aim also makes the M4 a fairly hip-fire weapon. Double Tap can be quite effective due to low recoil and low damage, but ammo use increases dramatically. Another good perk for this rifle is Stopping Power, which makes it deadly at all ranges.
The weapon's low damage output can be compensated by its high rate of fire, and the very low recoil allows for accurate full automatic fire at short and medium ranges. Because of this, Bandolier can be useful. For these reasons as well, either optics or a silencer is a good choice.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

The M4A1 returns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, but looks quite different compared to its appearance in Call of Duty 4.

 Singleplayer

The M4A1 is first seen in "S.S.D.D.," when the player helps train the locals, and seen in almost every mission after that. The M4A1 actually is used by Joseph Allen in "No Russian," suggesting that NATO weapons were captured by Makarov and his men. The M4A1 has many attachments, such as M203 grenade launcher. The M4A1 is commonly used by the Rangers and Task Force 141, as it is the standard assault rifle for the two factions. In many missions the player will start out and see the M4A1. In right hands the M4A1 can be a very deadly weapon, due to its accuracy. The M4A1 always comes with a vertical foregrip on the gun, unless the player is using an underbarrel attachment. The M4A1 has a high rate of fire, but it also sways 4 degrees making it difficult to aim. The M4A1 is last seen in the level "Endgame." The unique "SOPMOD" version of the weapon, found only in "The Only Easy Day... Was Yesterday" and in "The Gulag" it is set up in the SOPMOD fashion; the M4A1 in "The Only Easy Day...Was Yesterday" is equipped with a silencer, Red Dot Sight, and M203. However, it will lose the silencer later on in the mission. Although this is very rare, there's also an ACOG and M203 version of this in the level Hornet's Nest off from fallen friendlies.

Multiplayer

In multiplayer the M4A1 becomes available at level 4, when Create-a-Class is unlocked. It is very similar to the ACR, firing 50 RPM faster but having slightly higher recoil and lower range. This essentially makes it inferior to the ACR since having a firing rate 50 RPM faster is barely noticeable, while the higher recoil and lower range can make a big difference at long range. However, even this small increase in fire rate may make the difference at close range, especially with Stopping Power.
It is a good idea to use Scavenger or One Man Army with the M4A1 because it uses up ammo quickly due to its rather fast fire rate.
The M4A1's slight recoil forces the user to burst fire at long range, which makes it more suited to medium to close than the ACR while the ACR is still much more accurate at long range when firing full-auto. The M4A1 also has a tighter hipfire crosshair, again giving it more utility in close quarters. The M4A1 benefits greatly from Stopping Power due to its relatively low damage, making it kill in 4 shots at even the highest ranges. It has almost no benefits from Stopping Power in hardcore, because the gun will still be a 1-hit-kill at close and mid-range, and 2 at long range. However, with Stopping Power, it will be able to one-shot players if a headshot is made at long ranges, so the effects are generally useless.
Players often fit a Red Dot Sight, Holographic Sight, or Silencer onto this gun, however the iron sights on this gun are regarded as some of the easiest sights to use in the game, as they are relatively open, meaning the player still has decent peripheral vision. While using the iron sights however, the M4A1 has a fair level of muzzle flash. A silencer may be used to counteract this problem.
An uncommon yet effective tactic is to use Thermal Sight on this weapon. Though the recoil is magnified, it will quickly down an enemy and often yielding headshots. Scavenger is recommended while using this tactic because the amount of bullets used will also increase. Players who find 60 extra rounds is enough should use Sleight of Hand Pro to reduce the time reloading and decrease the time it takes to ADS, or Marathon if the player plans on 'Running and Gunning'

Caliber: 5.56mm NATO
Action: Gas operated, rotating bolt
Overall length: 838 mm (stock extended); 757 mm (stock fully collapsed)
Barrel length: 370 mm
Weight: 2.52 kg without magazine; 3.0 kg with magazine loaded with 30 rounds
Rate of fire: 700 - 950 rounds per minute
Maximum effective range: 360 m
The Colt company developed various carbine versions of the basic AR-15 / M16 rifle since 1970s. These carbines were intended for all markets - military, law enforcement, civilian. US Military (and some other armies, most notably - Israeli Self-Defense Forces) had adopted the Colt CAR-15 Commando and XM-177 carbines during the 1970s and 1980s. But early in 1990s the old idea of replacing the pistols in the hands of the troops with some more effective, shoulder fired weapon, rise again in the heads of the US Military. In fact, this idea can be dated back to the US M1 Carbine of 1941, but good ideas never die. So, in the 1994, US Army adopted the Colt Model 720 selective-fire carbine (basically, a shortened M16A2 rifle), as the US M4 Carbine. This weapon was intended to replace in service some M9 pistols, as well as some aged M3A1 submachine guns and some M16A2 rifles. New weapon was much more handy and comfortable to carry, than the long M16A2 rifle, so the US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) put its eye on the M4 as a possible universal weapon for all Special Operations community. For this purpose M4 was latter modified with the M16A3-style flat-top receiver with integral Picatinny-type accessory rail instead of the M16A2/M4-type integral carrying handle. This modificatin retained the M4 index. The only difference between the M4A1 and M4 is that its trigger unit of M4A1 is modified to fire full-auto instead of the three shots bursts in M4. Specially for the SOCOM M4A1s US Naval Surface Warfare Center developed a SOPMOD M4 kit, that consisted of the M4A1 carbine equipped with Rail Interface System (RIS) instead of the standard handguards. The kit also includes a variety of the add-on goodies, such as various sights (ACOG 4X telescopic, ACOG Reflex red-dot, detachable back-up open sights), laser pointers (visible and infra-red), detachable sound suppressor (silencer), modified M203 40mm grenade launcher (with shortened barrel and improved sights). The kit also included a detachable front grip and tactical light.
At the present time, the M4 carbine is used as a front-line weapon by US Army, Marine Corps and SOCOM operators in Iraq and Afghanistan. Combat experience with thos weapon resulted in update program, which will, as of now (mid-2010) following steps. First, Army wanted to install heavier barrel to allow more sustained firepower, combined with full-automatic mode of fire instead of 3-round burst, and ambidextrous safety/selector switch. Second stage will see improved rail adapter and a new, improved bolt carrier, and a possible third stage will include change of operating system (most probably, from direct gas to the gas piston).
At the present time, the Colt company still is the the prime M4 carbine manufacturer for US Armed forces, but many other companies build similar "milspec" weapons for other US and foreign customers, such as government and private security organizations, law enforcement etc. To name just few, M4-type carbines are manufactured by Bushmaster Firearms, Olympic Arms, THOR Global Defense Group and others

Technical description.
The M4 carbine differs from the M16A2 rifle only by having a shorter barrel and a telescoped, 4-position buttstock. The M4A1 is a similar modification of the M16A3 rifle, so for general technical description please refer to the M16 article on this site.

General

  • When sensitivity is 10 (insane) and the player is turning to the right, the M4A1's missing a rail on the right side of the handguard; this modeling error is most likely for the purpose of saving memory and space.
  • The M4A1 is shown having a foregrip but this has no effect on accuracy as shown when an M203 is attached.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

  • As seen on Training overview, originally M4 Carbine had fire selection ability, like some weapons in first Call of Duty games, because name says "M4 Carbine Full-A", and "Full-A" is obvious part of "Full-Auto".
  • In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare singleplayer, players cannot find any M4A1 with an iron sight. This also applies to the G36C.
  • In Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, the lower receiver of the M4A1 has "BLUE4" written in tape; the M16A4 shares these markings. "BLUE4" is a reference to BluFor, the opposite of OpFor, which is applied to all NATO forces. It also says, "Property of U.S. Government, Caliber 5.56mm, M4A1 Carbine" over the magazine housing, regardless of what faction for which the player is fighting.
  • Attaching the Grenade Launcher will give the M4A1 a dipping motion while aiming down the sights and panning left and right.
  • The SOPMOD Kit of the M4A1 has the highest number of attachments on a single weapon (Suppressor, M203, Red Dot Sight, and an AN/PEQ-2).
  • The M4A1 iron sights changes slightly when using a grenade launcher.
  • In both Single-Player and Multi-Player, when seen on the ground or in the hands of another player/NPC, the M4A1 has no visible foregrip, but if picked up by the player, it will have one (except if a Grenade Launcher was attached)
  • The SOPMOD version of the M4A1 appears to be a favorite of Soap MacTavish, as it is the primary starting weapon in numerous singleplayer levels.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

  • In the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign, the rifle sounds like the Call of Duty 4 M4A1, but in multiplayer, the rifle sounds quite different, with an added ringing in the sound.
  • In the beginning of the Modern Warfare 2 level "The Only Easy Day...Was Yesterday", the M4A1 is titled as M4A1 SOPMOD, but later in the level changes to M4A1 Grenadier w/ Red Dot Sight, and loses its silencer attachment after the player detonates the corpses. The SCAR-H also loses its suppressor at this point. However, if the player switches out the M4A1 for another weapon and switches it back after the ambush it will still have the silencer attachment; the quirk applies for the SCAR-H as well.
  • Attaching an ACOG Scope to an M4A1 in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer causes the text to change from "M4A1" to "M4 ACOG Sight".
  • The serial number on the M4A1 is "19200-49042."
  • On the left side of the gun, tally marks are scratched into the receiver. These marks surpass 100.
  • The pickup icon in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer uses the same pickup icon that the Call of Duty 4 M4A1 uses, even though the two rifles look quite different.
  • When using FMJ, the grip on the rifle disappears when it is dropped, reloaded, or in 3rd Person, but a removable olive green grip is seen when held.
  • In campaign, when used with a red dot sight, the zoom whilst aiming down sight is much greater than in multiplayer; this trait is shared with the ACR.
  • In "Museum", the silenced M4A1's pickup icon is different than usual. It appears to be an M4A1 with a silencer and a Tasco Red Dot Sight. It is also called "M4A1 Suppressed", which is never seen anywhere else.
  • The M4A1 makes a different firing sound in campaign than it does in multiplayer
  • The M4A1 is one of the six guns that come with a foregrip as standard, not taking up an attachment slot. The others are the MP5K, Vector, TMP, PP2000, Striker, and M93 Raffica.
  • The SOPMOD version of the M4A1 is one of few weapons that are seen with more than two attachments; the only other weapons where this is the case are the ACR found in Cliffhanger and Just Like Old Times, and the AA12 found in Acceptable Losses.
  • Like the AK-47 and ACR, this weapon's designation with an M203 is "M4A1 Grenadier". This is different from all other assault rifles, which have the added "w/ Grenade Launcher" instead.
  • The M4A1's Create-A-Class icon is seen without a foregrip, meanwhile in-game it includes a foregrip attached (with the exception of when a Shotgun or Grenade Launcher is equipped.
  • It is the first weapon to be picked up and used in the Modern Warfare 2 campaign.
  • It seems to be the default weapon when playing as a Ranger in campaign. However, in Wolveriens! and Exodus the SCAR-H is the default weapon.
  • The M4A1 (Iron sights, Red Dot, Holographic) doesn't have idle sway while aiming unless the silencer or grenade launcher is attached. Using the Bling perk with Red Dot or Holographic and either silencer or grenade launcher will add sway.
  • When using an optic with the M4A1, the ironsights are still present, although they're flipped down.
  • In third person, even when optics are attached to the gun, the iron sights is flipped up. In first person, the iron sights will be flipped down if there is an optic attached.
  • In the PC version the magazine vanishes when the player is reloading the gun. The player can see it if the player is standing, then presses the reload button. The character's hand goes back to pull out a new magazine and the magazine is inserted into its slot, but the old magazine is never removed
  • The emblem received for getting 1000 kills with the M4A1 says M4 Carbine on it, instead of M4A1.
  • The M4A1, along with the ACR, has the largest ammo capacity of all assault rifles (630).
  • On the Single-Player screen Ghost is seen holding an M4A1 with Holographic sight (which is never used by him during the campaign), but it's front ironsight is actually the original M4 sight (like in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare), while the rear one is different and is flipped down.

 Modern Warfare: Mobilized

  • On an early screenshot of Mobilized, a Marine is holding an M4 as though it has a foregrip. This isn't seen in the final game.
  • The M4 Carbine's knobs used for removing the rail-sight and windage apparatus are on the wrong side of the weapon.
  • The M4A1 has a Red Dot Sight that is more like a scope than a red dot sight in the console versions.

    • It is also one of the three weapons that have a red dot sight attached.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized

The M4A1 Carbine is featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized with two variants, the original 3-round burst M4 Carbine, and the fully automatic M4A1. The M4 Carbine and M4A1 have the same rate of fire, but the M4A1 has much more stopping power.

 M4 Carbine

The M4 Carbine is almost a copy of the M16A4 found in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Notable differences are that the 3-round burst has a slower rate of fire, more compact iron sights, and a smaller delay between the bursts.

 Singleplayer

In single player, the M4 Carbine is exclusive to the level "Closing In", though it can be seen in use by allies in all the missions of the American campaign. It produces the same sound as the M4A1, but it has a lower damage per bullet, still killing with one burst. Due to its 3-round burst and only extra 120 rounds that come with it, the M4 is the least ammunition efficient weapon.

 Multiplayer

In multiplayer, the M4 Carbine is available by default, along with the MP5 and MP7. It is probably the least common weapon used in multiplayer, due to its lack of power, as it takes two bursts to kill, and low ammunition efficiency. Those who do use it usually discard it when the M4A1 is unlocked, since it has much higher power and the same rate of fire as the M4 Carbine, only without the delay between bursts.

M4 Carbine

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The M4 Carbine is a family of firearms tracing its lineage back to earlier carbine versions of the M16, all based on the original AR-15 made by ArmaLite.
The weapon is a shorter and lighter version of the M16A2 assault rifle, achieving 80% parts commonality with the M16A2. The M4 has selective fire options including semi-automatic and three-round burst (like the M16A2), while the M4A1 has a "full auto" option in place of the three-round burst. The M4A1 is sometimes also found with a heavier barrel to withstand heat from sustained fully-automatic fire.

Overview

Both the M4 and M4A1 carbines fire 5.56 x 45 mm NATO ammunition and are gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed, selective fire firearms with a telescoping stock. A fixed stock can also be fitted, but this is not common practice in the U.S. military. The weapon is produced by Colt as the Model R0977, with the Colt Commando version as the Model R0933.
As with many carbines, the M4 is handy and more convenient to carry than a full-length rifle. While this makes it a candidate for non-infantry troops (vehicle crews, clerks and staff officers), it also makes it ideal for close quarters combat (CQC), and airborne and special operations. It has been adopted by United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and is the preferred weapon of the U.S. Army Special Forces. Malaysia purchased M4 Carbine service rifles to replace the Steyr AUG service rifles in its armed forces in 2006.
The M4 was developed and produced for the United States government by Colt Firearms, which has an exclusive contract to produce the M4 family of weapons through 2009; however, a number of other manufacturers offer M4-like firearms. The M4, along with the M16A4, has mostly replaced M16 and M16A2 firearms; the U.S. Air Force, for example, plans to transition completely to the M4 Carbine. The M4 has also replaced the M3A1 submachine gun that remained in service (mostly with tank crews). The M4 is similar to much earlier compact M16 versions, such as the 1960s-era XM177 family, though unlike them it is not intended to fire the earlier M193/6 ball ammunition.

History and Variants

Except for the very first delivery order, all U.S. military-issue M4 and M4A1 possess a flat-top NATO M1913-specification rail on top of the receiver for attachment of optical sights and other aiming devices — Trijicon TA11 and TA31 Advanced Combat Optical Gunsights (ACOG) and Aimpoint M68 Close Combat Optic (M68 CCO) being the favorite choices —, and a detachable rail-mounted carrying handle. The current government standards are the Colt Model 920 (M4) and 921 (M4A1).

M4/M4A1

The major difference between these models is that the M4 has a "S-1-3" (safe/semi-automatic/3-round burst) trigger group, while the M4A1 has a "S-1-F" (safe/semi-automatic/fully-automatic) trigger group.

M4 MWS (Modular Weapon System)

Colt Model 925 carbines were tested fitted with the Knight's Armament Corporation (KAC) M4 RAS under the designation M4E2, but this designation appears to have been scrapped in favor of mounting this system to existing carbines without changing the designation. The U.S. Army Field Manual specifies for the Army that adding the Rail Accessory System (RAS) turns the weapon into the M4 MWS or Modular Weapon System.

M4A1

The M4A1 carbine is a variant of the basic M4 carbine intended for special operations use. The M4A1 can be found in use by many U.S. military units, including the Delta Force, U.S. Navy SEALs, and the U.S. Marine Corps' Radio Reconnaissance Platoons and Force Reconnaissance companies. The M4A1 Carbine is specially favored by counter-terrorist and special forces units for close quarters combat because of the carbine's compactness and firepower. These features are also very useful in urban warfare. Although the M4A1 does not have as far an effective range as the longer M16, many military analysts consider engagement with a non-specialized small arm above a range of 300 m to be unnecessary. It is extremely effective at 150 m or less.
In the last few years, M4A1 carbines have been being refit or received straight from factory with barrels with a thicker profile under the handguard. This is for a variety of reasons such as heat dissipation during full-auto and accuracy as a byproduct of barrel weight. These heavier barrel weapons are also fitted with a heavier buffer known as the H2. Out of three sliding weights inside the buffer, the H2 possesses two tungsten weights and one steel weight, versus the standard H buffer, which uses one tungsten weight and two steel weights. These weapons, known by Colt as the Model 921HB (for Heavy Barrel), have also been designated M4A1, and as far as the government is concerned the M4A1 represents both the 921 and 921HB.

SOPMOD Block I

USSOCOM developed the Special Operations Peculiar Modification (SOPMOD) Block I kit for the carbines used by units under its jurisdiction. The kit features an M4A1 carbine, a Rail Interface System (RIS) handguard developed by Knight's Armament Company, a shortened quick-detachable M203 grenade launcher and leaf sight, a KAC sound suppressor, a KAC back-up rear sight, an Insight Technologies AN/PEQ-2A visible laser/infrared designator, along with Trijicon's ACOG and Reflex sights, and a night vision sight. This kit was designed to be configurable (modular) for various missions, and the kit is currently in service with special operations units (though many soldiers have changed the Trijicon reflex sight for M68 CCO red dot sights and EOTech holographic sights).

SOPMOD Block II

A second-generation SOPMOD kit (now known as SOPMOD II) is currently under development, with many different manufacturers competing for a contract. Notable manufacturers include Knight's Armament Company and their URX II, ARMS and their Selective Integrated Rail (SIR) system, along with Lewis Machine & Tool's Monolithic Rail Platform (MRP).
Variants of the carbine built by different manufacturers are also in service with many other foreign special forces units, such as the Australian Special Air Service Regiment (SASR). While the SASR uses weapons of essentially the same pattern built by Colt for export (Colt uses different models to separate weapons for the U.S. military and those for commercial/export purposes), the British SAS uses a variant on the basic theme, the SFW built by Diemaco of Canada. Although Diemaco was purchased by Colt and renamed Colt Canada, the Diemaco names and related firearms were kept.
As mentioned, the M4 replaced the M3A1 "Grease Gun" submachine gun that remained in U.S. service, mainly with tank crews. They previously had M3s, but this was changed to two M4s and two M9 pistols ("personal defense weapons"). This was as much to increase capability as it was to change over from .45 ACP, as M3A1s could be configured to fire 9mm ammunition.

Design

The M4/M4A1 5.56 mm Carbine is a gas-operated, air-cooled, magazine-fed, selective fire, shoulder-fired weapon with a telescoping stock. A shortened variant of the M16A2 rifle with a 36 cm barrel, the M4 provides the individual soldier operating in close quarters the capability to engage targets at extended range with accurate, lethal fire. The original M4 Carbine has semi-automatic and three-round burst fire modes, while the M4A1 has "semi" and "full auto", with no three-round burst. The M4 Carbine achieves over 80% commonality with the M16A2 rifle and was intended to replace the M3 .45 ACP submachine guns and selected M9 pistols and M16 rifle series with most Army units. (This plan was thought to be changed with the development of the XM29 OICW and the XM8 carbine. However, both projects were cancelled.) The M4 Carbine is also capable of mounting the M203 grenade launcher.
Some features compared to a full-length M16A2 rifle include:
  • Compact size
  • Shorter barrel
  • Telescoping buttstock
  • Higher rate of fire
  • Selective fully-automatic rather than 3-round bursts (M4A1 only)
However, there have been some criticisms of the carbine, such as lower bullet velocities and louder report due to the shorter barrel, additional stress on parts because of the shorter gas system, and a tendency to overheat faster than the M16A2.

Accessories

Like all the variants of the M16 assault rifle, the M4 Carbine and the M4A1 Carbine can be fitted with many accessories, such as night vision devices, laser pointers, telescopic sights, bipods, the M203 grenade launcher and the XM26 LSS shotgun, and anything else compatible with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail.
Other common accessories include the AN/PEQ-2, Advanced Combat Optical Gunsight (ACOG), and M68 Aimpoint. EOTech holographic weapon sights are to be part of the SOPMOD II package. Visible and IR (infrared) lights of various manufacturers are also commonly attached using

KWA Full Metal M4A1 2GX Airsoft Gun

Description:
The KWA Full Metal M4A1 is astounding! At first glance it looks just like any other M4, but once the gun is plugged into a lithium polymer battery pack it becomes a whole new machine. KWA is traditionally known for their M series gas blow back pistols, then they came out with their G36 and it was ok; but now their latest AEG has completely blown away the staff here at Airsoft GI. On the outside it looks like another M4, but on the inside is where you see the brilliance of the engineering. The trigger switch is made of good quality plastic and the wires are carefully soldered to the connectors. The reinforced sector and bevel gears spin very freely on the 9mm ball bearings. The piston is also reinforced on the back teeth, as is the front of the version 2 gearbox. The overall quality of the rest of that parts is fantastic. KWA claimed to be making an AEG that is LiPo ready and they have surely done it.

How to Make a Paper AK-47 Gun

The Automat Kalashnikov 47 is a very powerful and very popular assault rifle made in Russia. It has gained worldwide renown and notoriety for its rapid-fire capabilities, its efficiency and its accuracy. It is a symbol for underworld criminal activity and modern warfare. For most people, the AK-47 is too dangerous a weapon for them to own and keep at home. However, anyone can make a harmless replica out of paper.

  • Make the stock of the gun. Gather 30 sheets of paper and stack them tightly together. At the top of the first sheet of the stack, make a mark 2 inches away from the left edge and a mark 2 inches away from the right edge. Take the stack in both hands and fold the right and left sides inward to the marks you drew. Tape this folded area closed so that it holds its shape.
  • Make the main chamber of the gun. Take 30 sheets of paper and make a stack. Turn the stack horizontally and use the ruler and pencil to draw a page-length, straight line across the first sheet of the stack 3 1/2 inches up from the bottom. Draw another line across 1 inch up from the first line. Fold the stack up at these lines to produce a rectangular shape. Tape the shape up so that it is completely closed.
  • Make the handle. Take 10 sheets of paper and stack them together tightly. Fold the stack in half lengthwise, then fold it over by 2-inch increments. Tape this handle securely so that it holds it shape.
  • Make the magazine. Take 30 sheets of paper and stack them together. Fold the stack over lengthwise and draw a curved shaped that looks like a lowercase L leaning to the left on the top. Cut this shape out of the stack, cutting through all layers of the stack. Tape this shape together thoroughly so that it holds together.
  • Make the barrel of the gun. Stack 10 sheets together and roll them up lengthwise as tightly as possible to make a long, tight cylinder. Tape this cylinder closed.
  •  Assemble your weapon. Tape the front, narrow part of the stock to one short end of the main chamber. Directly under this taped area, attach the handle and tape it securely to the main chamber. Tape the magazine to the front underside of the main chamber about 2 inches in front of the handle. Tape the barrel to the front of the chamber.
  • Make the trigger. Take one sheet of paper and fold it in half widthwise then lengthwise in 1/2-inch increments to form a thick, narrow strip. Cut a 1-inch piece from this strip. Fold the remaining strip in half. Curve this part into a squared-off C shape. Attach this piece to the underside of the chamber between the handle and the magazine. Tape the 1-inch piece inside of this C shape.
  • Fold another sheet of paper in half four times, alternating lengthwise and widthwise, to make a thick square. Cut a shape that looks like a shark's fin (or a rectangle with an angled top) from this square. Tape this shape together along its edges and tape this to the top of the front of the barrel.

How to Remove AK Rivets

The AK-47 assault rifle is a popular gun among gun enthusiasts as well as hunters. The rifle is also popular among gun customizers as well. One modification is to remove the trunion and barrel to install other components. This requires getting rid of the rivets on the rifle, which although not technically difficult to do, can definitely be a frustrating process. But if you have a lot of patience and about an hour or so, you can remove the rivets on your AK 47.
    • Check the gun to make sure the magazine is out of the rifle, and there are no bullets in the chamber. Double check to ensure that the gun cannot be fired, then install a trigger lock on the trigger.
    • Locate the receiver on the front trunion of the rifle. Install a stone grinding disc in the rotary tool and grind down the rivets on the receiver. Grind down each rivet until it is flush with the receiver.
    • Remove the receiver from the trunion using the flathead screwdriver. Sand down the remaining bits of rivets from the trunion using the metal file.

What is a Civilian Variant of the AK-47?

Civilian variants of the AK-47 run the gamut from semi-automatic "clones" of the venerable assault rifle chambered for 7.62x39, 223 Rem (5.56x45)and .308Win (7.62x51) cartridges to more exotic offerings like the Saiga-12, a semi-automatic shotgun which employs the basic Kalashnikov action. This article refers to cousins rather than simply variants of the AK-47 because it is inclusive of semi-automatic civilian rifles which are partly or wholly derived from later military versions of that rifle such as the AKM, AK-74 and the RPK.

    Fully Automatic/Selective Fire versus Semi-Automatic

Fully automatic AK-47s can fire multiple shots with one pull of the trigger by depressing and holding down the trigger once the weapon is loaded and charged and the selector is set in the middle position.[1] They are also capable of semi-automatic fire if the selector is set in the lower position.[2]
Fully Automatic AK-47s are mostly commonly seen in civilian hands outside of the industrialized world since most industrialized nations pass and enforce outright or effective prohibitions against civilian ownership of these firearms. While the fully automatic AK-47s remain prevalent in some of these nations despite the laws, due to illegal importation they are confined to the hands of criminals. In the United States it is illegal to own a fully automatic AK-47, unless you procure the stamp tax and meet the proper requirements for such a firearm, which was not registered as a National Firearms Act weapon after 1986.[3]
Elsewhere, fully automatic AK-47s are more common, but even their possession is often in nominal violation of the law or at least subject to stringent regulations that many civilians simply ignore for a variety of reasons.
Semi-Automatic AK-47s can only fire one shot with each squeeze of the trigger. As of June 2006 the World Wide Web is rife with information on the conversion of semi-auto AK-47's to full auto capability. Whatever the technical merits of the proposition, in the United States converting a gun in this way is illegal since "Conversion Kits" or parts which are "intended solely and exclusively to convert a weapon into a machine gun" are considered to be domestically manufactured machine guns that are required to have been registered by 1986.[3]
Some civilians may simply just resort to Bump fire in order to achieve simulated automatic fire, as it is a legal alternative.

    Milled versus Stamped Receivers

The receivers used to make civilian Kalashnikovs come in two major types: milled and stamped.
Milled receivers are more expensively machined from a single block of steel while stamped receivers are made from a single stamped piece of sheet steel with additional necessary parts such as guide rails and trunnions spot welded or riveted within. Milled Kalashnikovs are generally a bit stronger than their stamped counterparts. Some authorities also suggest that milled receiver rifles enjoy slightly better inherent accuracy than stamped guns but others dismiss this difference as negligible or deny it all together. Kalashnikovs built with stamped receivers are only a few hundred grams lighter and much cheaper to manufacture than their milled receiver counterparts.
From a visual standpoint one can fairly easily distinguish milled and stamped civilian Kalashnikovs by the presence of rivets on the front and rear trunnions.
Milled Kalashnikovs generally lack rivets but are more remarkable for "a long deep rectangular milled depression starting at the front of the receiver. This depression is nearly five inches long and should not be confused with the magazine guide on AKM receivers. It too was a type of magazine guide and its depth and size an attempt to reduce overall receiver weight."[4]
Stamped Kalashnikov receivers are distinctive in that they have "a small, shallow indentation approximately 2.5 centimeters long on each side of the receiver centered directly above where the magazine attaches. This indentation is called a magazine guide. The stock and barrel trunnions are also riveted onto the receiver."[4]

    Civilian Kalashnikov Ammunition

These three calibers are the most commonly employed in civilian Kalashnikov rifles
    • 7.62x39 (Soviet)
    • 5.45x39 (Soviet)
    • 5.56x45 (NATO) These rifles can also fire .223 Remington.
The vast majority of civilian Kalashnikovs use the 7.62x39 cartridge which was used in the original AK-47. The chief reason for this is economics. The vast majority of military surplus AK-47 magazines are designed for the 7.62x39 Soviet and thus most AK-47 cousins are designed to use that caliber. While the calibers listed above are by far the most common there are exceptions. For instance, there is a Romanian version of the Kalashnikov known as the AK-22 which fires the .22 Long Rifle cartridge along with Saiga rifles chambered in .308.
Ammunition for civilian AK-47 rifles comes in three major types:
First, one has corrosive military surplus ammunition made with steel cases and Berdan primers. Given that most civilian Kalashnikov's have the chrome lined barrels and bolts of their military counterparts gun owners are less leery of using corrosive ammunition in these rifles than they would be in other cases. Still, even in this case, Kalashnikov rifles should receive the same thorough cleaning as other firearms when they are used to fire corrosive ammunition.
This ammunition is largely unsuitable for hunting because it was manufactured to comply with the Hague Convention of 1899 and thus does not expand on impact. Because it uses steel cases and berdan primers this ammunition is not reloadable.
Second, one has non-corrosive ammunition made with steel cases and Berdan primers. Much of this ammunition is manufactured on the same tooling which produced the surplus ammunition described above and in the same countries, particularly Russia.
Third, one has a vast array of non-corrosive high quality copper jacketed ammunition offered by almost every major and minor manufacturer. Most of this ammunition is Boxer rather than Berdan primed and it comes from both foreign and domestic suppliers. Much of this ammunition is designed with both hunting and self-defense clearly in mind and thus possesses bullets meant to deform on impact. This ammunition is also typically reloadable thus allowing users to use the cases to make rounds which meet with their specific needs or wants. The ammunition made with steel cases is an exception, it can't be reloaded. The major drawback of these higher quality civlian offerings is the much higher price which makes this ammunition less attractive for users primarily interested in "plinking" (target shooting).

    Civilian Kalashnikov Magazines

The vast majority of the AK-47's civilian cousins are entirely capable of taking military surplus magazines. These magazines were either manufactured in Eastern Bloc countries or in the People's Republic of China.
The sheer variety of military surplus magazines is remarkable. In the realm of magazine capacity alone there are a number of choices open to civilian Kalashnikov owners. Obviously, the iconic 30 round banana shaped magazine is the most common. Larger magazines include 40 round and even 55 round magazines although these can prove unwieldy and unreliable and are not very suitable for the benchrest shooting typical of most civilian rifle ranges.[citation needed] There are also 20 round "tanker" magazines designed for use in the tight quarters of an armored vehicle.
As far as materials are concerned most surplus magazines are made of blued steel. They are well known for their sturdiness and reliability. However, the AK-74 employed its distinctive orange thermoplastic (bakelite) magazines and since that time plastic magazines have increasingly gained ground with the users of civilian Kalashnikovs in all common calibers. These magazines were formerly prone to problems such as cracking of the feed lips but are now commonly accepted.[citation needed] Particularly highly regarded are the Bulgarian "waffle" magazines[citation needed] (so known for their distinctive texture pattern). These have been produced in a variety of colors including black, plum, and OD Green.
There are also drum magazines available for these rifles. These magazines typically hold 75 rounds or 100 rounds apiece. There are two major varieties of drum magazines available, the Russian and the Chinese. The Russian drum is somewhat more common and less expensive than its Chinese counterpart but is generally more tedious to load. The Chinese drum can be opened in the back and loaded much faster, though there are reports that careless users can cut their fingers. Both magazines are considered to be highly reliable and both have their proponents and detractors.
A minority of the magazines used in the civilian variants are specifically manufactured for the civilian market. Some of these are simply new copies or slight variations of military magazines. Other magazines intended for the civilian market include magazines for use with AK-47 variants that cannot accept military magazines. An example of such a variant would be Russian made Saiga which can accept AK-47 magazines only after modifications.

The AK47 Kalashnikvo Automatic Rifle  is an Assault rifle, first developed by the Soviet Union by . The AK47  It was in service by Soviet army and the former Warsaw Pact.
